Yhteisöllistä messua rakentamassa : Uuden sukupolven jumalanpalvelusyhteisöjen rakennuspalikoita

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kerätä Suomen evankelisluterilaisen kirkon sisälle syntyneiden jumalanpalvelusyhteisöjen syntyprosesseja käytännön järjestämisen ja nuorten aikuisten osallisuuden näkökulmista. Jumalanpalvelusyhteisöjä on syntynyt viime vuosien aikana useampia ympäri Suomea. Nämä yhteisöt ovat osa kirkon jumalanpalveluselämän uudistusta. Opinnäytetyön teoriapohjassa käsitellään jumalanpalveluksen merkitystä, jumalanpalvelusyhteisöjä ja nuorta aikuista yhteisön jäsenenä. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli toimia jumalanpalvelusyhteisön perustamista tukevana työkaluna.

Opinnäytetyö oli tutkimuslähtöinen. Tutkimusmetodeina käytettiin kyselytutkimusta ja puolistruktu-raalista teemahaastattelua. Tutkimukseen osallistui kolme erilaista jumalanpalvelusyhteisöä. Opinnäytetyön tutkimusongelmana oli, kuinka tällaisia messuyhteisöjä käytännössä järjestetään. Työssä tutkittiin myös millaisista tarpeista yhteisöt saavat alkunsa. Alaongelmana oli se, miten ihmiset saadaan sitoutumaan yhteisön toimintaan. Opinnäytetyön hankkeisti Kokkolan suomalainen seurakunta.

The purpose of this thesis was to study the birth processes of the worship communities born within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, from the perspectives of practical organization and participa-tion of young adults. In recent years, several worship-communities have born around Finland. These communities are part of the reform of the evangelical Lutheran church of Finland. The theoretical basis of the thesis discusses the importance of the communion service, the worship-communities and young adults as participant members of the community. The aim of the thesis was to serve as a tool to support the establishment of a worship-community.

The thesis was research oriented. The research method was a survey and a semi-structured thematic interview. Three different worship-communities participated in this study. The main research problem of the thesis was how such worship-communities are organized in practice. In addition, the aim was to study what kind of needs there are behind starting worship-communities? The sub-problem was how to get people to commit to these worship-communities. The thesis was commissioned by The Finnish evangelical Lutheran church of Kokkola.
