Environmental sustainability key performance indicators for the RTG product management

Abstract

Integrating high level Environmental Sustainability into product management in Port Cranes, Konecranes by utilizing Environmental Key Performance Indicators was the primary purpose of this thesis. It was scoped around the Rubber Tire Gantry (RTG) Crane and its sales cases classified by its power supply for a definite duration. The data acquired to structure this thesis was gathered by means of qualitative internal interviews, academic articles, and Konecranes’ internal material. The results proved that Konecranes’ RTG crane demonstrated positive trends in Environmental offering performance. Hence, further studies regarding the development of Environmental Sustainability for the manufacturing phases are visible and viable for the excellence in product management.
