Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli selvittää kohdeyhdistyksen, eli Santa’s United Ry:n, verkkosivujen käytettävyys. Käytettävyystestaus toteutettiin kaksivaiheisesti; ensin käytettävyystestillä, jossa koehenkilöt etsivät ennalta määrättyjä tietoja verkkosivuilta, ja toiseksi kyselylomakkeella, jossa esitettiin kysymyksiä käytettävyyteen liittyen. Käytettävyystesti ja kysely suunnattiin eri ihmisille.
Opinnäytetyössä käytettiin laadullista tutkimusmenetelmää, koska iso osa vastauksista annettiin kommentteina, joten määrällinen tutkimus ei soveltunut tutkimusmenetelmäksi tässä tutkimuksessa.
Opinnäytetyön avulla saatiin tietoon, että verkkosivujen käytettävyydessä on kehitettävää, ja erityisesti valikoita ja väritystä kohtaan esitettiin kritiikkiä. Tulosten perusteella käytettävyys ei kuitenkaan ole kriittisellä tasolla, vaan se on hieman alle toivotun rajan. Näin ollen pienillä muutoksilla verkkosivut on mahdollista saada käytettävyydeltään hyviksi. The goal of this thesis was to find out the usability of websites of the commissioner, Santa’s United Ry. Usability testing was done in biphasic way, first in a usability test, where the test subjects searched for predetermined information from the website, and secondly, with a questionnaire, where questions related to usability were asked. The usability testing and the questionnaire were addressed to different persons.
With the help of the thesis, it was found out that improvement should be done to the usability of the website, and criticism was made especially towards the menus and the coloring of the website. However, based on the results, the usability is not at a critical level, but is slightly below the desired limit. Therefore, with small changes, it is possible to improve the usability of the websites.
In this thesis, a qualitative research was used, because a major part of the thesis was based on the answers given as comments, and therefore, quantitative research was not a suitable research method for this study.
