In the following, a controlling concept is developed specifically for start-ups. After all, startups are of great importance for a country. Understanding how young companies can be given the best possible support right from the start and how the path to a long-term successful company can be ensured is crucial. Targeted controlling can help young entrepreneurs, to identify risks at an early stage and make sound decisions right from the start.
The thesis that a controlling system must be set up specifically for start-ups and cannot be adopted one-to-one by established companies is examined below. The central objective is to develop a concept based on theoretical principles and on the basis of two practice-oriented interviews that answers the following question: "How does controlling of start-ups appear in the different phases of development?"
