The research was aimed at evaluating the role of small businesses on poverty alleviation in Finland. It was meant to show that small business has its place in society. A quantitative research method has been used, where questions were asked in the form of open-ended and multiple-choice questions and was administered electronically to 50 small businesses and 32 responses employing between one and eight employees in Helsinki, then the results was collected and evaluated. The questionnaire was limited only to foreigners.
The first chapter gives a global idea of how small business influence poverty through the creation of employment. A review of the theoretical base of the study makes up the second chapter, chapter three shows the method that has been used, and chapter four presents the research findings and results. The last chapter is made up of a summary, recommendations, conclusion, and limitation of the study.
It was seen from the findings that small business has an impact on poverty alleviation, and the future of small-scale businesses in Finland appears bright and promising as long as entrepreneurs abide to all the laws being put in place by the government. As a result, it has been shown that small business is a necessity in every society as they contribute partially to the growth of the economy for development.
