The thesis aimed to analyze Cox's Bazar and Lapland, the popular tourist destinations in Bangladesh and Finland. Respectively, this thesis assessed the state of tourism in Cox's Bazar and Lapland in Bangladesh and Finland. The focus was on identifying the main differences between the named destinations and building an understanding of the expectations of tourists in Finland and Bangladesh.
This research employed data collection based on secondary data. For instance, literature and research reports, journals, publications and websites were used as sources. The data was gathered from sources available in Finland and Bangladesh. The analysis covered all tourism sectors. Strengths, weaknesses as well as opportunities and challenges were discussed.
The main results of the study provide recommendations and suggestions for improving the promotion of the tourism industry in these countries. To address the obstacles, the government should enforce certain policies and procedures to make tourism and travel within the country more efficient.
