The main aim of this thesis is to identify factors which are important for the commissioning company to increase profitability and competitiveness and recommend solutions that would adequately meet the needs of the company and assist it to continue to grow. The knowledge base of the thesis includes the theoretical framework that expounds more on the different frameworks that can be used to measure the performance of the company.
This thesis focuses primarily on qualitative research data, in the form Qualitative research method has been used. The author conducted two interviews with the sole proprietor that consisted of open-ended questions and visited the company. The interviews sought to enquire more about the company’s performance and find out which frameworks are in use.
The findings discovered after utilizing the SWOT and PESTLE analysis includes the strength and weakness that the company has. The main strength is the company’s very high-quality tea. The research also revealed that the company lacks a clear strategic action plan. The solution the thesis recommends is to adopt a functional level strategy and the use of metric indicators KPIs to measure performance.
