Småföretags brännvedsverksamhet: utveckling av ett småföretags brännvedsproduktion samt förbättring av företagets verksamhet

Temat för det här examensarbetet är ett småföretags brännvedsproduktion och verksamhet. I studien utreds småföretagets brännvedsverksamhet och företagets möjligheter att öka brännvedproduktionens kapacitet samt att utreda hurdana investeringar som skulle behövas i olika delområden för att uppnå produktionsmålen. Företaget fungerar i Pemar i Egentliga Finland. Dessutom kartlades användning och produktion av brännved i Finland samt produktionens olika skeden.
När produktionsmängderna är små, klarar företaget sig med ganska små resurser i fråga om utrustning och lagring för att driva verksamheten. Om mängderna ökar mycket, behövs investeringar i mera kapacitet. Mindre än 300 löskubikmeter ved per år är ännu lätt att lagra utomhus under bästa sommartider och sälja under hösten. Om produktionen växer över det blir lagringen svårare utan täckt lagringsutrymme.
I studien utredes olika utrustning som finns på dagens marknad. Information söktes i både litteratur och webbkällor. Dessutom intervjuades brännvedföretagare för att höra åsikter om vilken utrustning en ökning av produktionen skulle förutsätta för att verksamheten skulle bli effektivare, smidigare och vettigare. Med hjälp av denna information kom man fram till vilka lösningar och kommande investeringar kunde öka produktionen.
Med stöd av utredningen konstaterades att det primära investeringsobjektet är utrymme för lagring. Den befintliga utrustningen för produktion räcker ännu för att producera önskad mängd färdig brännved.
The subject of this Bachelor’s thesis is small business firewood production and trade. This thesis studied a small company’s firewood opportunities to increase their capacity, and what kind of investments need to be made in different business sections to achieve the aims. The company is in Paimio, in Southwest Finland. The thesis also introduced the usage and production of firewood in Finland and the stages of production.
When production is small, small resources are enough for the business as far as equipment and storage are concerned. When the business grows, the capacity won’t be sufficient or rational for long. Less than 300 cubes of production yearly is still easy to store and sell before winter but the higher the amount of firewood is, the harder it is to store the products without a covered storage.
The study researched information on the equipment available on today’s market, by using literature and web sources. In addition, we hear the views of an entrepreneur and a firewood entrepreneur on the equipment an increase of production would need to be effective, effortless, and reasonable. On the grounds of the researched information and opinions, the research concluded what the investments could be for the business and the production to increase.
The results of the research showed that the primary investment subject is warehousing. The current equipment of the business is enough for the desired production.
