This thesis has the objective of finding out what are the benefits of implementing a sustainable supply chain in the manufacturing activities of a fast fashion company, nowadays the industry is one of the significant contaminators in the whole world, and some brands are trying to fight back the repercussions of overproducing and not using sustainable materials while manufacturing. The author intends to expose the current problem with the Fast Fashion Industry and how small actions can make a huge difference.
This investigation that was carried out was research-based, with quantitative and qualitative methods. These methods were interviews and surveys employed to collect data from experts in the field. This helped to get solid data from the correspondent stakeholders and help the readers understand the topic and the facts stated throughout the theoretical framework.
This thesis presents and explains information obtained following the data gathered from the investigation methods and literary sources with the aim of helping future stakeholders with sustainability issues in the fashion industry.
One of the central beliefs of the author is that sustainability and the fast fashion industry can go hand in hand. Another of the primary purposes of this thesis is to give this industry another point of view so that it can notice if there are benefits of implementing sustainability in its supply chain and how they can be helpful corporately and socially.
