Improving Software Development Life Cycle for Odoo ERP system

Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become an essential tool for businesses to manage their operations, streamline processes, and enhance productivity. However, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for these systems can be complex, time-consuming, and prone to errors. The thesis analyzed the existing SDLC process for Odoo systems and identified its strengths and weaknesses. Based on that analysis, the thesis proposed an implementation plan to improve the SDLC process, including the steps involved, the tools and techniques to be used, and customers involved. The objective was to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of software development for Odoo systems, which could help organizations to manage their operations, streamline processes, and enhance productivity. The thesis evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed implementation plan and recommendations, including their impact on the SDLC process for Odoo systems, their benefits and limitations, and the lessons learned. The findings of this thesis provided a practical and feasible approach to addressing the challenges faced by software developers working with Odoo systems and improving the overall SDLC process. Overall, the thesis contributed to the ongoing efforts to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of software development processes for Odoo systems, which was significant for software developers, project managers, and customers involved in developing software for Odoo systems.
