Research on ZJ seafood air carrier selection based on Analytic Hierarchy Process - Zhoushan as an example

Abstract

Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province is an important city for mariculture and seafood fishing in China. 2021 ranked fourth among all provinces in terms of total annual production of fishery products. The nutritional value of fresh seafood is high and to ensure its freshness, transport time must be shortened, so air freight is chosen. The air transport of seafood and aquatic products has high requirements for packaging and certain special conditions, so the service or transport quality of air transport companies directly determines the freshness of seafood and thus affects consumer satisfaction.

After reviewing the domestic and international literature, the author found that there are not many studies on the choice of seafood air carriers. So the main objective of this study is to summarise the indicators that have a greater impact on seafood air carriers. And summarise a set of methods to complete the whole seafood carrier selection process to provide some ideas and contributions to the research in this field. Effectively improving the quality of relevant services and the minimum level of the industry, which in turn helps to reduce the waste of logistics resources within the industry.

This study investigates the current situation of freshness logistics, air carriers and freshness air transport conditions in Zhejiang Province, and combines the existing evaluation indicators that affect the choice of seafood air carriers. Relevant influencing factors were analysed and a more comprehensive and integrated evaluation index system was established. After establishing the evaluation index system, industry experts were solicited to rate the evaluation indexes. The weights of the indicators were calculated and ranked through the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Summarise the evaluation indicators that have a greater impact on the selection of seafood air carriers and summarise the selection method process.
