Research on Location Selection of CG Air Logistics Company's Distribution Center

Abstract

The rapid economic growth has been accompanied by a rapid increase in demand for air cargo. However, the supporting infrastructure in China's air logistics is currently backward and the logistics planning is unreasonable. China has long had the idea of emphasising passengers over cargo, and the lack of attention to the flow of goods has led to high logistics costs. Air logistics relies on air transport, and the distribution centre of air logistics enterprises assumes the role of connecting air and ground and coordinating upstream and downstream enterprises. Building a distribution centre in a reasonable location can improve the overall logistics efficiency, enhance the quality of service and reduce the cost of distribution.

Because there is a lot of literature on distribution centre location research in China today, but most of the research directions on location selection are not in aviation logistics. Therefore, this paper aims to provide some theoretical reference and decision support for the research on distribution centre location selection for domestic aviation logistics enterprises by referring to the relevant distribution centre location research literature, then combining the development status of aviation logistics and the research results of aviation logistics, and taking CG aviation logistics enterprises as an example, under the limited level. It provides some theoretical reference and decision support. The main purpose of this study is to firstly define an air logistics enterprise as an enterprise that integrates the functions of various nodes and implements the integrated operation of freight forwarding, cargo transportation and distribution, and to outline the functions of the distribution centre of an air logistics enterprise. Secondly, using the hierarchical analysis method, combined with the location and role of the distribution centre of the aviation logistics enterprise, we systematically analyse the supporting conditions of the aviation logistics and the comprehensive transport guarantee capacity of the city, and analyse factors such as the enterprise's own resources and the socio-economic development of the city, which are the industrial foundation and preconditions for the construction of the aviation logistics distribution centre. Then, according to the factors influencing the location of the distribution centre of aviation logistics enterprises and the principles of index selection, a scientific and reasonable evaluation index for the location of the distribution centre of aviation logistics enterprises was established, taking into account the actual situation of CG aviation logistics enterprises. Secondly, the expert scoring method is adopted to score each of the evaluation indicators and quantify them for comparison. Based on their weights, the highest scores were obtained for the selection of the distribution centre location of CG aviation logistics enterprises in three cities, namely, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing, and Hangzhou.
