Tiivistelmä
The establishment of The Association of Circular Economy and Sustainability (KIEKE) in Finland could provide a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and action towards a more sustainable and circular economy.
This thesis investigates the establishment of KIEKE and the operational plan of the association. The research question of this thesis is: what are the potential future paths for the association to achieve its mission and goals related to circular economy and sustainability, and how can a thesis contribute to providing justified and informed recommendations for the association to make its final decisions?
The purpose of the research is to build a foundation of knowledge on which to answer the research question and build recommendations. To this end, literature on operational plans and stakeholder identification was studied. The results show that the association can achieve its goals through the use of circular economic principles and sustainable practises.
The association can help create new business opportunities and job growth in areas such as waste reduction, resource recovery, and green energy. These recommendations can help the association make informed decisions about its future paths and ensure its efforts are strategically aligned with the goals of the circular economy.
