Carbon dioxide, or CO2 emissions, is a common problem, companies faced nowadays. Potential reduction of Scopes 1, 2 and 3 is a goal for many companies to become a carbon-neutral company.
This study focused on the research of a potential investment in solar power plants and its result on cost and CO2 emissions reduction. During the research, the basics of Solar Power were studied, also related case studies and Survey Reports were analyzed, to provide information, related to the subject.
The result of the analysis depicts possible challenges in the implementation of solar power on factory roof- tops, with its costs, maintenance, and possible return on investment. This would help Meconet, the com- pany the research was done to, to be prepared for future investment in solar power plants.
Using information from Suppliers, with research and Case Studies analyzing three potential scenarios were discovered. Each depicts different payback times and potential risks, which Meconet should take into con- sideration during the investment.
