Bangladesh maintained its position as the EU's second biggest apparel supplier, after only China. The readymade garment (RMG) sector, which is now Bangladesh's top source of export revenue, has played a critical role in the nation's economic development. The research aimed to examine the current landscape of the sector using the porter diamond model to identify its strengths and threats.
An interview and survey approach were used to accomplish the study's goal. A total of 30 employees from the RMG industry were surveyed, and 6 employees were interviewed. Microsoft Excel was used to evaluate the survey-method data and create a meaningful graphical representation.
The first section of the thesis detailed the study's background and goal. The second section was devoted to conceptual frameworks including the Porter Diamond Model. In the third section, an overview of the current situation in Bangladesh's RMG industry was provided. The survey and interview data were analysed in part four. The findings and recommendations based on the study were presented in part five.
