This project employed the MIKE numerical model to analyze the hydrological dynamics of Nhue River. The model aimed to accurately represent the river's behavior by integrating various modules and including culvert data and discharge information. However, discrepancies were observed between the simulated data and the real and were theorized to be influenced by sudden agricultural water demands. Despite these challenges, the project highlighted the utility of numerical models like MIKE HYDRO in comprehending, theorizing, verifying, and predicting flow patterns. The modeling process underscored the significance of considering both natural and anthropogenic factors in water management and risk mitigation. The versatility and effectiveness of the MIKE model were demonstrated by its successful application in various water management projects worldwide. Overall, this project emphasizes the value of advanced modeling techniques in gaining insights into complex water systems and facilitating evidence-based decision-making for sustainable water management practices.
