This thesis aimed to explore the pain points of ethical decision-making in B2B procurement. The objective of the study was to explore how compliance with the TBL framework supports the company's competitiveness and identify new opportunities for innovative products, services, or tools to encourage ethical decision-making and adoption of ethical practices in B2B environment.
This thesis utilized a qualitative research approach to gather in-depth data on the perspectives and experiences of key stakeholders in B2B environment. The data was collected in a structured manner paying close attention to saturation and diversity of data. Content and cluster analyses of peer-reviewed articles were carried out to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the research topic.
The study found that the most significant pain points and challenges for ethical B2B procurement globally were resource limitations, imbalance between supply and demand, lack of financial support structures, and lacking ethical values or open communication in the supply chain.
Based on the analysis results extracted from the diverse data in this study, several development proposals were successfully generated to the commissioning company. The most viable proposals, taking into account the commissioning company's field of business, are presented in this thesis. However, the detailed concepts of the development proposals are confined outside of this thesis as a trade secret, and they are solely the property of the commissioning company.
