ESG sustainability wireframe plan for a global positioning technology manufacturer CASE: Topcon Positioning Group

Abstract

Sustainability has become more and more a competitive advantage in the business environment but when starting to look deeper to the topic it might come a jungle of different terms, regulations and high level models that is hard to grab on. Sustainability affects all parts of an organization and that is why it would be beneficial to have a structured way to start the conversation with different stakeholders and build awareness towards the topic. This study is focusing on the creation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) wireframe plan for a global commissioning company, Topcon Positioning Group to help implement sustainability initiatives as a part of an existing business strategy by combining different elements of sustainability under one adjustable wireframe. This study adopts qualitative research methodology and data was collected through interviews to create the most suitable wireframe structure to address different needs of an organization. Wireframe is followed up with an implementation steps for an concrete first steps to integrate environmental, social and governance initiatives to the organization. Same wireframe structure can be used to identify ESG relations for a specific business initiative delivering better understanding to sustainability in relation to business strategy and specific departments.
