This thesis is a comprehensive exploration of strategic management practices within the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry. It aims to dissect the challenges faced by SaaS companies, analyze the strategic approaches they employ to overcome these challenges, and uncover the best practices that contribute to the creation and sustenance of competitive advantage in this dynamic and rapidly evolving sector. Through a collaborative approach involving insights from industry experts, the thesis seeks to offer actionable guidance for SaaS companies seeking to thrive in a competitive landscape.
Through the combined qualitative and quantitative analysis, the stud anticipates identifying the primary challenges that SaaS companies face, ranging from market competition and customer retention to technological disruptions. The research aims to uncover a spectrum of strategic approaches employed by SaaS companies to address these challenges. These approaches could include innovative product development, targeted marketing strategies, and effective customer engagement.
Additionally, through in-depth interviews with industry experts and executives, the study seeks to distil best practices that have demonstrated success in creating and sustaining competitive advantage. And lastly, by examining industry reports and academic research, the study anticipates providing insights into emerging trends that will shape the future of the SaaS industry.
