Tiivistelmä
Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tutkia Oriveden kaupungin leikkipuistojen kehittämissuunnitelman laatimista vuosille 2023–2030. Opinnäytetyön tilaaja oli Oriveden kaupungin teknisten palveluiden yksikkö. Leikkipuistojen kehittämistä koskeva valtuustoaloite oli käynnistänyt vuonna 2020 kaupungin leikkipuistojen systemaattisen ja osallistavan kehittämisen. Aloitteen taustalla oli kaupungin tahtotila monipuolistaa ja nykyaikaistaa leikkipuistoja lasten ja perheiden viihtyvyyden lisäämiseksi ja samalla parantaa kaupungin houkuttelevuutta.
Kehittämissuunnitelman laatimisen ajankohtaa oli viivyttänyt muutokset kaupungin henkilökunnassa, kunnes kehittämissuunnitelman kirjoittaminen päästiin aloittamaan asiantuntijaharjoittelun myötä huhtikuussa 2023. Opinnäytetyön lähtökohtina toimivat toiminnalliset tutkimusmenetelmät, johon kuuluivat materiaalien ja kuntalaiskyselyn analysointi, vapaamuotoiset keskustelut ja palaverit sekä maastokäyntien aikana tehdyt havainnot. Leikkipuistojen kehittämissuunnitelman sisältöä varten otettiin mallia Tampereen ja Oulun kehittämissuunnitelmista ja hyödynnettiin Oriveden kaupungin tarpeisiin.
Oriveden leikkipuistojen kehittämissuunnitelma kirjoitettiin asiantuntijaharjoittelun aikana vuoden 2023 huhtikuusta kesäkuun puoleen väliin. Valmistunut kehittymissuunnitelma siirtyi Teknisten palveluiden osastolle tarkistettavaksi ja päivitettäväksi.
Lopputuloksena opinnäytetyössä kuvataan Oriveden kaupungin leikkipuistojen kehittämissuunnitelman kirjoittamisen prosessi ja kehittämistyön tulokset. Valittujen tutkimusmenetelmien avulla esitellään havaintoja ja tuloksia siitä, miten Oriveden kaupunkiin leikkipuistoja suunnitellaan, kunnossapidetään ja kehitetään. The aim of this practice-based thesis was to examine the preparation of a development plan for Orivesi city playgrounds for the years 2023-2030. The commissioner of the thesis is the technical services unit of the city of Orivesi. In 2022, a council initiative on the development of playgrounds launched a systematic and participatory development of the city's playgrounds. The aim of the initiative was based on the city`s desire to diversify and modernize playgrounds to increase the comfort of children and families while improving the attractiveness of the city.
The start of the drafting of the development plan had been delayed by changes in the city staff until the writing of the development plan could be started with expert training in April 2023. The starting points of the thesis were functional research methods, which included the analysis of materials and the municipal survey, free-form discussions and meetings, and observations made during field visits. The content of the development plan for playgrounds was modelled using the development plans of Tampere and Oulu and it was utilized for the needs of Orivesi.
The development plan for Orivesi playgrounds was written during expert training from April to mid-June 2023. The completed development plan was transferred to the City Gardener for inspection and further to the technical director of Orivesi for approval.
As a result, the thesis describes the process of making a development plan for the Orivesi city playgrounds and the results of the development work. The research methods chosen are used to present observations and results on how playgrounds are designed, maintained and developed in the town of Orivesi.
