Tiivistelmä
Rehabilitation for patients encountering the need for lower limb amputation is important, and the physiotherapist’s role is essential in this process. Over the years, the need for lower limb amputation has grown primarily due to vascular disease, and more particularly, diabetes, for which the number of people is going to keep growing in the future.
In this matter, physiotherapists must be aware of their role in rehabilitation and how to interact with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes of rehabilitation for the patient. This thesis is action research-based, and the aim is to provide independent study material for physiotherapy students in the form of a PowerPoint PDF. This will enable them to use the material in a clinical situation and acquire information and knowledge on the subject.
