Role of technologies in improving supply chain management in nepal

Abstract

The current study is aimed to examine the role of technology in supply chain management in Nepal. The data for analysis was collected among the 100 respondents using the closed-ended ques- tionnaire. The researcher has used the quantitative research method for the analysis and various statistical analyses such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis have been used. The findings from the descriptive statistics showed that most of the respondents were male and less than 40 years of age. The awareness about supply chain management and the tech- nology used in supply chain management was very limited. The findings from the inferential analy- sis suggested that technological use has a positive and significant impact on supply chain man- agement in Nepal. In terms of challenges, the major challenges identified include lack of required infrastructure and government rules and regulations. Based on the study, it can be concluded that supply chain management in Nepal is its initial stage, and the use of technology can provide the required push for the growth of the industry.
