Digital technology has allowed organizations to increase their product and service reach internationally. Businesses can seize the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and acquire a competitive edge on a global scale by using technology. The widespread use of technology has shrunk the distance between companies and their consumers. The study's overarching goal is to ascertain how digital technologies have affected global trade. Discovering the uses, consequences, and risks related to digital technology adoption is the goal.
The research-related theoretical framework is detailed in the paper's second section. This section explains how digital technology and global business may work together to achieve sustainable development. It details the application of digital technology in business process management, including domain selection, framework coordination, information exchange, and human resource management. The benefits, such as higher performance and a competitive edge, that result from using digital technology are detailed in this section. The concerns about data theft and cybersecurity that come with using digital technology are described.
In this study, a qualitative research strategy has been employed. Previous journals, articles, books, etc., have served as sources for secondary data. The interviews were conducted using semi-structured questions to gather primary data. Organizational culture, leadership, access to digital technology, training opportunities, competitive environment, and customer behavior are the factors that influence digital technology adoption, according to the research. Cybercrime, viruses, and data confidentiality are the usual issues that are troubling while using digital technology.
