Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyömme aiheena on sosionomin ja sosiaalityöntekijän ammattien eroavaisuudet ja yhteneväisyydet, jotka olemme koonneet tiiviiseen oppaaseen. Opinnäytetyömme toimeksiantaja on Turun ammattikorkeakoulu.
Opinnäytetyömme taustalla on SOTEKO tutkimusyhteistyö, jossa on mukana Turun ammattikor- keakoulu, SIVISOTE-tutkimusryhmä, sosiaali- ja kasvatusala (AMK), erityissosiaaliohjaus (YAMK) sekä Turun yliopiston sosiaalityön oppiaine. Tutkimushanke käsittelee sosiaalialan am- matti-identiteetin syntyä, ja työelämän tehtäviin suuntautumisprosessia ja valintoja opintojen aikana.
Opinnäytetyömme aihe perustuu Valtioneuvoston hankkeeseen; sosiaali- ja terveysalan korkea- koulutuksen kehittäminen. Hankkeen tarkoituksena on sujuvoittaa korkeakoulusektorien välisiä siirtymiä eri koulutusten välillä. Opinnäytetyössämme tarkastelemme sosionomi (AMK) ja sosiaa- lityöntekijän ammattien eroavaisuuksia, yhteneväisyyksiä ja ammatteihin liittyvien opintojen koulutuspolkuja.
Tavoitteenamme oli luoda kattava ja tiivis opas Turun ammattikorkeakoulun loppuvaiheen sosio- nomiopiskelijoille. Oppaan on tarkoitus selkeyttää sosionomin ja sosiaalityöntekijän koulutusten ja ammattien yhteneväisyyksiä sekä eroavaisuuksia. Nämä ammatit menevät monella sekaisin. Oppaassa olevat aiheet on valittu opiskelijoille teettämämme Webropol-kyselyn pohjalta. Kysely lähetettiin syksyllä 2023 Turun AMK:n loppuvaiheen sosionomiopiskelijoille. Vastauksia saimme 46 kappaletta. Oppaassa avaamme ammattien koulutuksia, työtehtäviä, työllistymismahdollisuuksia ja palkkasuosituksia.
Toteutimme kehittämistyömme 2023 vuoden- ja 2024 alkuvuoden aikana. Painottuen kuitenkin syksyyn 2023. Helmikuussa 2024 saimme oppaan koottua lopulliseen muotoon. Opinnäyte- työmme liitteenä oleva opas on suunnattu Turun ammattikorkeakoulun loppuvaiheen sosiono- miopiskelijoille. Opasta voi mahdollisesti käyttää myös sosiaalialan eri työpaikoissa ja muussa ammattiympäristössä. The topic of our thesis is the differences and similarities between the professions of a social worker and a social worker, which we have compiled in a concise guide. Our thesis is commissioned by Turku University of Applied Sciences.
Our thesis is based on SOTEKO research cooperation, which includes Turku University of Applied Sciences, SIVISOTE research group, Bachelor of Social Services and Education (UAS), Master's Degree Programme in Special Social Guidance and Social Work at the University of Turku. The research project deals with the emergence of professional identity in the social field, as well as the process and choices of orientation to working life tasks during studies.
The topic of our thesis is based on a Government project; development of higher education in the field of social welfare and health care. The aim of the project is to streamline transitions between higher education sectors between different education programmes. In our thesis, we examine the differences, similarities and educational paths of the professions of Bachelor of Social Services (UAS) and social worker.
Our goal was to create a comprehensive and concise guide for Turku University of Applied Sciences' final stage social services students. The purpose of the guide is to clarify the similarities and differences between the education and professions of social workers and social workers. Many people confuse these professions. The topics in the guide have been selected based on a Webropol survey we commissioned for students. The survey was sent in autumn 2023 to Turku UAS final stage social services students. We received 46 responses. In the guide, we explain vocational training, job tasks, employment opportunities and salary recommendations.
We carried out our development work during 2023 and early 2024. However, with an emphasis on autumn 2023. In February 2024, we were able to compile the guide into its final form. The
guide appended to our thesis is aimed at Turku University of Applied Sciences' final stage social services students. The guide may also be available in different social work jobs and other professional environments.
