As global awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development increases, electric truck applications in logistics are steadily growing. Jiangsu Province - with its abundant land and maritime transport resources - provides an ideal setting to test and promote electric trucks. Recently, due to an increasing need for road transport services, electric trucks have demonstrated their potential in both reducing pollution while improving transportation efficiency.
This study's primary task is to analyze the use of electric trucks on the logistics route from Nanjing to Suzhou in Jiangsu Province and their specific benefits on logistics efficiency and environmental impact. Furthermore, its objective is to measure their performance through empirical research while showing their environmental and economic advantages over traditional fuel trucks.
This research uses a mixed-methodology approach that integrates quantitative data analysis with qualitative case studies. First, statistical analysis involves collecting sales and usage data on electric trucks within Jiangsu Province for market penetration analysis as well as operational efficiencies assessment. After this phase, qualitative information about electric truck use is gathered through visits to logistics companies as well as interviews with industry experts so as to gain a fuller picture of daily performance as well as challenges encountered.
Our results reveal that electric trucks provide significant environmental and economic advantages along the logistics route from Nanjing to Suzhou. Compared with traditional fuel trucks, electric trucks demonstrate lower operating costs as well as superior environmental performance by significantly decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and urban noise pollution levels. In addition, electric trucks improve logistics efficiency by decreasing downtime caused by charging or maintenance needs.
This research has established the potential application of electric trucks in modern logistics, both environmentally sustainable and economically efficient applications. Jiangsu Province offers evidence of electric truck usage despite infrastructure and technological challenges; their use can significantly decrease environmental footprint of logistics industry operations. With improvements in charging infrastructure and advancements in electric vehicle technology expected in future, their adoption should increase globally.
