As 3D and AR technology rapidly develop and provide users with further realistic experiences, 3D-related contents also rise significantly. From entertainment industries such as video games and movies to construction and architecture, 3D technology is gradually proving its positive influence and benefits to many different fields.
With the development of 3D technology, the medical industry has taken advantage of it to create products with complex shapes such as prosthetic body parts, anatomic models, prosthetic faces and many other products. 3D technology has brought many benefits to the medical industry, from improving diagnostics and treatment protocols to creating customized products and training medical students.
From the positive effects mentioned above, the need to store and share 3D models has increased significantly and the rapid emergence of platforms or websites such as Sketchfab, etc. These also contribute to promoting the development process such as bringing models closer to users, creating a strong and sustainable community.
This thesis is inspired by the platforms mentioned above and takes advantage of new and modern web technologies such as React and Supabase to build a plat- form, a new website where users can store, explore, and share 3D models.
