Tiivistelmä
The aim of this thesis was to assess the process of mechanical tests in the UL-962 standard and identify the need for standardization. The work is related to Framery's commission, examining the impact of the standard on the repeatability, retrospective analysis, and comparability of tests.
The theoretical background focused on the significance of the UL-962 standard and its mechanical tests. In the presentation of the commissioning company, Framery's background and the industry in which it operates were discussed. In addition to presenting the product range, the role of other services in Framery's services was examined.
In the analysis of the need, the current process of mechanical tests was evaluated, emphasizing test documentation, the tester's influence, and the recording of the testing process. The need for standardization was justified by the repeatability, retrospective analysis, and comparability of the tests.
During the implementation phase of the thesis, the focus was on building WIKI pages, presenting UL-962 test instructions, addressing problem areas, and considering possibilities for further development. In the evaluation of the results, the thesis examined the outcomes concerning the WIKI pages.
The summary and conclusions addressed the key results of the thesis, the impact of standardization, and final conclusions were drawn. The work highlighted potential improvement suggestions and recommendations for further research.
The results of the thesis are significant for understanding the need for standardization, especially from the perspectives of test repeatability, retrospective analysis, and comparability. Framery's commission provided valuable insights into the development of workplace solutions. The thesis lays the groundwork for further research and offers concrete suggestions for advancing standardization.
