Application and Development of Artificial Intelligence in Airport Operation and Management: A Case Study of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport

Taking Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport as an example, this paper discusses the application status, existing problems and future development trends of artificial intelligence technology in airport operation and management. Through a questionnaire survey of passengers and airport staff, combined with domestic and foreign literature, the application effect of artificial intelligence in security check, check-in, inquiry, guidance and other aspects was analyzed. The results show that more than half of the respondents have encountered the application of AI at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, and generally believe that AI has significantly improved the efficiency of airport operations. However, the survey also reflects that Chongqing Jiangbei Airport still has problems such as poor passenger experience and human-machine collaboration in the application of artificial intelligence. On the basis of summarizing the experience of airport artificial intelligence application, this paper puts forward strategic suggestions to promote the construction of artificial intelligence in Chongqing Jiangbei Airport from the aspects of optimizing business processes, strengthening talent construction, and improving supporting facilities. Looking to the future, AI will be applied in more scenarios such as identity recognition, baggage check-in, and security monitoring, and will be deeply integrated with emerging technologies such as 5G, big data, and cloud computing to build a more intelligent, efficient, and safe modern airport.
