Tiivistelmä
This thesis conducts a comparative analysis of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in Finland and Nepal, focusing on sector distribution, size, and regulatory frameworks. Through a meticulous examination of primary and secondary data sources, including IPO prospectuses and regulatory documents from SEBON and FIN-FSA, the study reveals that Finland exhibits a more diversified IPO sector distribution and larger average IPO size compared to Nepal. The regulatory frameworks in Finland are characterized by robustness and transparency, while gaps exist in Nepal's regulatory environment. The study emphasizes the significance of well-designed regulatory frameworks in fostering a conducive environment for IPOs and overall capital market development, offering valuable insights for policymakers and market participants in both countries.
