The thesis aimed to strategically address and mitigate supply chain risks within the context of a globalized business environment. Additionally, effective strategies for managing supply chain risks in the current complex globalized business environment were explored. This thesis is a case study of company FeltKraft and it seeks to study their techniques of handling things in the face of uncertainties innate in the global market. The objective of this thesis was to provide a comprehensive understanding of supply chain risks management, highlighting the important elements associated with it.
The theoretical framework of the thesis covered key elements such as risk identification, assessment, and diminishment strategies. It also explores the essential components required for a resilient supply chain risk management system. The analysis also dives deep into the impact of external factors on supply chain fragility, offering comprehension into potential risks that may arise in the international business environment.
Methodologically, the research part engages on systematic review of journals, articles, case studies, business reports, and in-person key informant interviews (KII) to collect the relevant data required for the thesis. This study goes thorough exploration of supply chain risk management strategies, exploring the identification of best practices and probable areas for development in the perspective of global business.
The thesis provides a valuable addition to the field of supply chain risk management, offering a wellfounded comprehension of effective strategies in a complex business world. The analysis of the thesis will help companies as well as the businesses around globe in building strong and adaptive supply chain systems in their own business.
