Effective induction requires alignment with organizational strategies and ongoing evaluation to ensure its efficacy in promoting employee integration and organizational success.
The banking industry, rooted in financial mediation and payment processing, plays a crucial role in modern economies. In Finland, banking operations are heavily regulated, with a focus on financial market mediation and customer identification procedures.
The company’s induction process aims to equip new employees with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective job performance and customer service. The priorities are in practical, human-friendly orientation, with experienced employees working as instructors and guiding new hires through theory and practical tasks.
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bank X's orientation procedure for new employees. The objectives included assessing the overall structure and organization of the orientation, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and understanding the adequacy of supervisory support. Specific goals were to gather feedback on communication clarity, mentoring, and practical experience, and to determine if additional materials like written manuals could enhance the orientation experience.
