This product-based thesis explores the Moroccan wastewater sector and its potential for Finnish companies to enter the market with their innovative wastewater treatment technologies. This thesis highlights the importance of effective wastewater management due to global water scarcity and the need for innovative solutions.
The main goal this thesis offers is a detailed market analysis, highlighting the opportunities, challenges, key players, and entry strategies for Finnish companies in Morocco. The thesis is focused on three industries that produce the most wastewater: agricultural, mining, and textile sectors within specific Moroccan regions of Tangier-Casablanca, Beni Mellal and Souss-Massa & Agadir.
Using qualitative research methodology, in-depth reviews of industry reports, government publications and academic journals were utilized in forming the theoretical part of this thesis.The core product of this thesis is a comprehensive handbook aimed at guiding Finnish companies through the Moroccan wastewater market. This handbook provides detailed insights into market characteristics, challenges, opportunities, key players, potential partners, and market entry strategies.
The thesis showcases the significant opportunities in Morocco, especially in infrastructure development, technological innovation, and public-private partnerships.
The handbook is designed to be thorough, easy to use, and practical, offering Finnish companies that are seeking to expand into the Moroccan market exactly what they need.
The conclusion is that, with the right strategies and partnerships, Finnish companies can play a crucial role in improving wastewater management in Morocco while tapping into new business opportunities.
