Työkalu yrityksen kannattavuuden seurantaan - Case Yritys X

Abstract

Hyvän yritystoiminnan pohjana on, että tuottoja on enemmän kuin kuluja. Jotta kustannusten suhteita voidaan pitää silmällä ja niihin voidaan reagoida mahdollisimman nopeasti, tulee yrityksen johdolla olla ymmärrystä laskentatoimen teoriasta.

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää Yritys X:n kannattavuutta ja rakentaa yrittäjälle käyttöön Excel- poh-jainen työkalu kannattavuuden seurantaan tulevaisuudessa. Kyseessä on kehittämistyö, jonka pohjana käytettiin yrittäjän haastattelua, teoriamateriaalia sekä yrityksen tuloslaskelmaa ja tasetta vuodelta 2023. Teoreettinen viitekehys koostuu kustannusten selvittämisestä, mitä kannattavuus on ja miten kannatta-vuusraportointia tehdään tilinpäätöksen pohjalta. Katetuottolaskennan avulla selvitettiin yrityksen kan-nattavuutta lyhyellä aikavälillä eli vuonna 2023. Tilinpäätösanalyysin avulla selvitettiin tuloslaskelman ja taseen kautta saatavia tunnuslukuja, jotka kertoivat yrityksen kannattavuudesta, maksuvalmiudesta sekä vakavaraisuudesta.

Tutkimustyön lopputulokseksi saatiin selville, että yrityksen kannattavuus oli hyvällä tasolla vuonna 2023. Toimeksiantajalle rakennettu Excel- työkalu antaa mahdollisuudet seurata yrityksen kannattavuutta lyhyellä aikavälillä, mikä mahdollistaa nopean reagoinnin yrityksen tilanteen muuttuessa.

The basis of a good business is that there are more returns than costs. In order to keep an eye on the relationship between costs and react to them as quickly as possible, the management of the company must have an understanding of the theory of accounting.

The purpose of the study was to determine the profitability of Enterprise X and build an Excel-based tool for the entrepreneur to monitor profitability in the future. This is a development work based on an interview with the entrepreneur, theory material and the company's income state-ment and balance sheet for 2023. The theoretical framework consists of determining costs, what profitability is and how profitability reporting is done based on financial statements. The cover yield calculation was used to determine the company's profitability in the short term, i.e. in 2023. The financial statements analysis was used to examine the key figures obtained through the income statement and balance sheet, which indicated the profitability, liquidity and solvency of the com-pany.

As a result of the research, it was found that the profitability of the company was at a good level in 2023. The Excel tool, built for the client, provides opportunities to monitor the profitability of the company in the short term, which allows for a quick response when the situation in the company changes.
