The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Unilever Pakistan were looked into in this thesis. Key employees from many departments took part in the qualitative case study and gave their full thoughts on Unilever Pakistan's organisational strategies and changes made in response to the pandemic. Semistructured conversations were used to get information about problems in the supply chain, customer demand, and safety and manufacturing rules.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, supply networks had to be localised and money had to be spent on transportation. To ensure manufacturing line safety and efficiency, operational adjustments were made. These health and safety improvemen ts met new standards and enhanced operating efficiency. Increased sustainability initiatives integrated eco-friendly practices into core corporate strategy to match with global sustainability trends and boost competitiveness. During the pandemic, liquidity management and cost optimisation helped stabilise the company's finances. Expanded employee well-being programmes supported mental health and adapted to changing working situations, creating a resilient and engaged staff.
This thesis shows Unilever Pakistan's complex pandemic response, teaching other organisations in comparable areas resilience and adaptation. In the face of global upheavals, agility, strategic foresight, sustainability, and employee wellbeing are crucial to long-term corporate success.
