Tiivistelmä
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games mark a pivotal shift towards sustainable sports infrastructure, echoing global concerns catalyzed by past events like the 2022 football World Cup in Qatar. This study explores three key inquiries: the economic impact of infrastructural investments, the social development catalyzed by these facilities, and the challenges and opportunities of sustainability. The Implementation Method used is the qualitative analysis through Archival Research based on Secondary Data from Relevant Publications. The analysis is based on a comprehensive review of academic and non-academic sources such as research paper, case studies, reports, and journal articles. The research findings show a panorama of significant impacts resulting from the infrastructural developments for the Paris Olympic Games. Economically, there's a notable injection of investment across various sectors, including construction, hospitality, and tourism, with a surge in tourist spending observed during the event, particularly in accommodation, dining, shopping, and entertainment. However, the long-term economic benefits remain uncertain, contingent upon post-event infrastructure utilization. Socially, these facilities serve as linchpins for community development, fostering enhanced amenities and recreational opportunities, promoting social cohesion, and encouraging physical activity. Yet, ensuring inclusivity and equitable access demands proactive engagement with marginalized groups. Environmentally, balancing positive outcomes like habitat restoration with potential negative impacts necessitates meticulous conservation efforts. Addressing these challenges while capitalizing on opportunities for sustainable development presents a pathway towards a positive and enduring legacy, fostering economic growth, environmental management, and social cohesion within Paris and beyond. In conclusion, the research findings underscore the multifaceted impacts of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Infrastructure Development. Economically, the event presents both opportunities and challenges, necessitating sustainable management strategies to maximize long-term benefits. Socially, the construction of Olympic venues fosters community well-being, promoting inclusivity and cultural exchange. Environmentally, a focus on sustainability is imperative to mitigate resource consumption and environmental degradation, ensuring a positive legacy for future generations. Managerial implications highlight the need for proactive planning, stakeholder engagement, and integration of environmental and social considerations into decision-making processes. Additionally, insights from user feedback regarding app usability reveal key areas for improvement, emphasizing the importance of addressing interface issues and enhancing novelty to maintain user engagement.
