Tiivistelmä
This thesis studies the role of orientation in integrating temporary employees and in their work performance specifically within the context of Paviljonki Food & Events event restaurant in Jyväskylä. The primary research question addressed is: How does orientation affect the integration and work performance of temporary employees at the events of Paviljonki?
Both quantitative and qualitative methods were utilized to assess the impact of orientation on employees’ work performance and their integration into the work community. The findings indicate that well-planned and implemented orientation can significantly speed up employees' ability to adjust to the work community and improve their productivity. The orientation can support social integration in the workplace and can improve satisfaction towards the work.
This thesis concludes with recommendations for improving the orientation process to more effectively support the integration and performance of temporary employees.
