The purpose of this study was to create an easy order application to help restaurant owners to modernize their food ordering system. The easy order app platform allows owners to register and manage their restaurant and maintain the restaurant food menu. It provides restaurants a unique QR code that can be scanned by customers who pay for the food through the mobile app. As the orders are placed, the chefs of restaurants will receive the incoming orders at a dedicated interface for completing the order and marking it as ready. The platform handles the whole process of food ordering inside a restaurant.
One of the key features of this platform is creating unique QR codes for each restaurant. The user uses the QR code in the mobile application to find the restaurant and open the restaurant food menu and see their profile to check the status of the order.
The easy order platform was implemented using modern technologies such as React, Node.JS, MongoDB, Express and React Native. These technologies provided an interactive and responsive user experience with some scope for improvement like dual factor authentication.
