Tiivistelmä
The work tracks the journey of a tech sales trainee and interpreter for a Finnish company entering the Chinese Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. Over a 4-month period, the process of establishing a factory in China was observed, with a specific emphasis on Air Handling Units (AHUs). Growth and adaptation to new tools and communication methods necessary to efficiently address the commissioner's issues are detailed. The primary tasks involved troubleshooting issues encountered during business trips in China. Weekly, detailed notes and analyses were provided to better understand the current situation and determine areas for improvement.
The goal of the research is to explore the complexities of setting up a factory in China, covering strategies, regulations, logistics, production processes, market dynamics, and financial considerations. Challenges faced in China are also discussed, including the impact of operating in a multicultural environment where language and cultural differences pose significant hurdles.
Additionally, insights are offered into effective market entry strategies for Finnish companies venturing into the Chinese HVAC industry. These findings aim to provide valuable guidance for similar ventures, offering a roadmap to navigate the complexities of establishing and operating manufacturing facilities in the Chinese market.
