Tiivistelmä
Verve Insurance Rehabilitation is a nationwide rehabilitation service provider and digital platform eVerve is used with clients during the vocational rehabilitation process. The objective of this Thesis was to describe the user experiences of eVerve and to analyze how the use of the platform affects user involvement during the vocational rehabilitation process.
This was a qualitative study based on user- centered design. The research data was collected by the thematic interview and five clients were interviewed in February 2024. The themes were based on Morville’s honeycomb-model of the user experience. The experience of the user involvement was described with the pathways to participation framework. The results were analysed with the data-driven content analysis. A plan for the further development was made based on the results.
Most users experienced that eVerve was easy to use and the content was clear, but some users found difficult to understand the idea of the platform and more instructions were needed. Assigments, self- assessments and follow up diary during the work trial gave information about user’s strenghts and work ability. eVerve supported user’s active role in rehabilitation and to take more responsibility of the rehabilitation. Personal guidance and possibility for tailored content was found important.
As a conclusion the use of eVerve was found useful during the vocational rehabilitation process. The honeycomb model provided a comprehensive picture of user experience and use of eVerve supported the user involvement to rehabilitation. Further development involving clients was recommendable. User feedback of difficulties when using eVerve was important for the further development. Considering accessibility was recommendable in broader perspective taking into account the specific needs of client groups.
