This thesis investigates the difficulties that Chinese and Bangladeshi businesses that are involved in the export of ready-made clothes have encountered through their operations. The findings of this research offer important insights into the challenges that these two key companies in the garment business around the world are currently facing. The fundamental purpose of this research was to identify, assess, and comprehend the problems that are preventing the export operations of ready-made garments from China and Bangladesh from running smoothly. Through the investigation of the unique characteristics that have an impact on both countries, the study makes a contribution to a more thorough knowledge of the complexity that characterizes the international garment trade. Important components that have a role in determining the context of the study are included in the theoretical framework. Drawing on international trade theories, economic models, and supply chain management literature, the study aims to lay a conceptual platform for analyzing the issues faced by Chinese and Bangladeshi garment exporters. The theoretical framework is built around factors such as trade policies, market dynamics, labour conditions, and technical improvements, which guide the examination of the intricate difficulties within the ready-made garment export business.
The study used a qualitative methodology and relied on the collection of secondary data. The initial findings indicate a variety of issues, such as barriers to commerce, changing consumer preferences, geopolitical influences, and concerns regarding sustainability. While China and Bangladesh face similar issues, the report identifies specific barriers that necessitate tailored solutions for each country. The final remarks emphasize the need for strategic adaptation, collaborative efforts, and legislative interventions in addressing the identified difficulties and fostering long-term growth in the ready-made garment export industry. In essence, this thesis contributes to scholarly discourse and industry understanding of the complex issues confronting Chinese and Bangladeshi firms in the export of ready-made garments. The findings set the groundwork for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academics to develop informed strategies that might improve the resilience and competitiveness of these important actors in the global garment sector.
