The aim of this study was to explore the impact of cultural factors on the efficiency of international humanitarian supply chains, what kind of challenges these cultural factors might create and to identify potential improvement strategies aimed at fostering cultural sensitivity and effectiveness within these chains.
Qualitative methods were employed to conduct the research, which involved gathering data through interviews with an expert in the field and incorporating existing cultural studies to support the study.
The findings highlighted on the pressing need for the integration of culturally sensitive practices within all stages and of the international humanitarian supply chains. These insights underscore the importance of recognizing and accommodating diverse cultural norms, values, and customs in order to optimize aid delivery and ensure its relevance and impact across diverse cultural contexts.
