Tiivistelmä
In today's global business environment, human resource management, adaptation, adoption, and change, combined with digital technology transformation, are core factors for successful business development. This thesis aimed to investigate how upgrading business management software affects employee satisfaction and productivity at Adpotech, a construction chemical company with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.
This study consists of two main parts: theoretical and empirical. Lewin's Change Theory serves as the theoretical framework for this study, supported by two models: Kübler-Ross' Change Curve and Kotter's 8-step Change Model. Empirical data were collected by surveying Adpotech employees' experiences and opinions before and after the software upgrade. The study includes mixed-method approaches, providing a comprehensive understanding of the impact of the transformation process on the business.
Employees initially encountered difficulties using the old software, according to research and data collected from employee surveys. However, after upgrading to the new software, the results showed that employee satisfaction and experience had increased significantly after the successful implementation of the new software. The research also revealed that important factors such as effective communication, training, support facilitated and presents a detailed upgrade plan tailored for Adpotech, addresses potential barriers, and proposes risk mitigation solutions for the company.
Finally, the study evaluates the success of the software upgrade project and suggests future technological improvements to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
