The research was aimed at exploring developmental opportunities of digital banking channels in Bangladesh in the context of ONE Bank PLC. The research was initiated with a set of objectives for identifying existing features of ONE Bank PLC as well as their impacts on customers. The exploration of opportunities and possibilities with the digital banking channel was another research objective. Mainly, it was intended to forecast the future of digital banking channels in Bangladesh along with drawing suggestions for improving the current infrastructure.
Requirements of current information and theoretical analysis created the urgency of developing a combined research methodology. Both primary and secondary data collection were designed as part of the research process. The research method focused on ONE Bank PLC includes a pragmatist view, inductive approach and a combined strategy of case study and a survey. Customers were the key participants in the survey. All ethical aspects were followed thoroughly within the research.
Outcomes from combining primary and secondary information aided in addressing the research questions and its objectives. Bangladesh’s banking sector holds immense possibilities and opportunities. Financial inclusion and consistent enrolment in digital banking channels are the major possibilities. Again, there are some gaps such as security and trustworthiness. ONE Bank PLC was studied as a case in the research. Interbank transactions, CRM inclusion, and strategic development of infrastructure will support in developing the loyal customer base. These are suggested and recommended within the research project.
