The primary goal of this thesis was to develop an appointment booking application for customers interacting with multiple service providers and create a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly platform that benefits both customers and service providers. Ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was a key element in the development process. The application was specifically designed to prioritize data protection and user privacy, implementing strong measures to protect personal information.
GDPR requirements were strictly integrated into various aspects of the application, including data collection, user consent procedures, and data security protocols. In order to accomplish these goals, the application was created utilizing HTML/CSS and Bootstrap for the front end, while PHP and Laravel were employed for the back end. The utilization of a strong MySQL database system guaranteed effective data management and retrieval.
By following GDPR regulations, legal standards were met, and trust and confidence were built among users. This dedication to protecting data privacy and security ensures that the reservation system operates effectively, ethically, and in complete accordance with global data protection laws.
