Tiivistelmä
The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) is the governing body of six disciplines in horse sports, and a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF). Digitalisation has been one of the key focus areas for the FEI for nearly two decades. The FEI aims to improve work processes efficiently, and the recent project involved the pilot project and launch of Online Schedule (OS) for Showjumping, digitalising the manual schedule viewing process. The OS is now integral to the work routines of stakeholders dealing with international showjumping events, including the FEI, National Federations (NFs), and Organising Committees (OCs).
During the pilot project, selected NFs supported the development of the OS platform's functionality and operational processes. The aim was to create a clear and user-friendly system for schedule viewing in showjumping, enhancing efficiency, communication, and transparency among stakeholders.
Various methods, including internal interview, data analysis, and stakeholder questionnaire were used to address key questions raised by the project. Insights were gathered on the impact of the OS project on stakeholders, how its success could be measured, and the customer satisfaction perspective.
Feedback showed that the OS had improved the schedule viewing process for stakeholders (FEI, NFs, and OCs) significantly. The communication between the stakeholders was now easier, more efficient, and transparent. However, there are still areas needing development. Measuring the success of the OS implementation remains subjective, relying on daily working experience and stakeholder feedback. Quantifying its impact on workload is challenging. Ultimately, the FEI was considered successful in implementing the OS in showjumping as a leader and as a service-oriented organisation.
