Clinical practices are the fundaments nursing education in Finland. Good preparation for practices and gained knowledge serve as a base for future professional life.
The purpose of the thesis was to make a guidebook of clinical practices for one University of Applied Sciences in nursing education. The objective was to prepare students for clinical practice and improve outcomes. Preparations and outcomes of clinical practice before, during and after are very important. Target group were English speaking nursing students in this certain UAS in Finland.
This thesis was completed using Waterfall methodology. The presented guidebook includes a checklist and serve as a valuable tool including clear instruction what to do before, during and after clinical practice. It is digital product with mark able check boxes where students sign ‘’yes’’ or ‘’no’’ next to the required activity before, during and after clinical practice
