Pollution caused by tourism is one of the crucial aspects in preservation of the environment. Laavu is a tourism medium set out to reach their target audience with social media marketing while promoting sustainable tourism and ecotourism.
This functional thesis was created to enhance Laavu.eu’s social media marketing visibility by creating a visual image bank applicable for, but no limited to, social media marketing. The purpose of the visual image bank is to provide a unique source of marketing materials that correspond to the customer dream while ensuring that the process itself was ecofriendly. The goal of the thesis is to explain what the ways are to impact marketing communications with photography and how to enhance social media marketing with photography to meet Laavu.eu’s demographic audience.
By implementing the visual image bank into marketing, the results reveal a considerable impact on marketing communications when the visual image bank follows visual social media trends, and by understanding company’s product, demographic audience, and by applying visual social media trends to photography, Laavu will enhance social media marketing to its target customer groups.
