The initial objective of this thesis was to explore the process of creating a functional webshop and provide a practical guide for anyone looking to establish an online existence. The specific focus was on selecting an appropriate e-commerce platform, paying attention on the UI/UX design, configuring essential components, and ensuring a smooth launch.
The theoretical framework of this study was grounded in e-commerce principles, digital marketing strategies, and user experience design. Key elements included an analysis of consumer behaviour trends, especially post-COVID-19, and the role of technology in modern marketing.
The thesis was practical-based and was based on a combination of practical implementation and theoretical information.
The results indicate that WooCommerce was the most suitable platform, offering a balance of flexibility and comprehensive features. The study concludes that careful platform selection, combined with strategic setup and continuous optimization, is critical for the success of a webshop. The research also suggests that further study could explore methods to improve the profitability of existing online shops.
