The aim of this thesis is to analyse the current sustainable tourism situation for travel business within Dubai and the United Arab Emirates especially focusing upon the travel agencies. The study will begin with introducing Dubai the tourism industry, and sustainable tourism. The core element of the thesis was providing guidelines and potential ideas for developing simple tourism services into more effective and efficient sustainable strategies and approaches.
The thesis conducted its research from secondary sources only, which was a limitation within the research however the author of the thesis analysed the research using the Sustainable Development Goals framework to structure the research more promptly. The outcome of the research indicates how different ways Dubai and the United Arab Emirates are incorporating sustainable tourism practices within itself. With these results the study also analysed how these sustainable actions have positively impacted travel agencies and how this sector can also improve its performance.
