This is a case study of Company X. This thesis was aimed to study about the impact of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) in the workforce on organizational success. The research was also conducted to explore how a diverse workforce influences organizational performance in terms of creativity, employee engagement, innovation and problem solving. Moreover, the importance of a diverse workforce in the company was studied.
The quantitative method was used for the research procedure. To gather the data, a questionnaire survey with a list of questions was used. This research was focused on examining the impact of diverse workplace on the performance of organization. Furthermore, this thesis explored diversity management and leadership in maintaining an inclusive workplace in the organization. This research manifested the role of management and leadership in promoting an inclusive, diverse and favourable work environment in organizations where all employees are valued and respected equally regardless of their position, and diverse backgrounds and culture heritage.
A quantitative method that was implemented from a vast framework of the theory which deals with workforce diversity, the dimensions of a diverse workforce, inclusive workplace, organisational performance, understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), the benefits of DE&I in the workplace and diversity management and leadership at workplace. The quantitative insights were provided by a questionnaire survey and the research represents the effects of diversity on a workplace on problem-solving, innovation, decision making and employee engagement. The recommendations from this thesis are the platforms of open dialogue, continuous training for leadership, management and employees about DE&I to promote diversity and improve a more inclusive workplace culture at Company X. Furthermore, this study recommended managers advance inclusive policies and practices to prevent discrimination in the workplace, handle and promote workforce diversity. To conclude, the research forced the importance of DE&I in the workplace and strong and effective leadership to register the success of an organisation.
